September 2008
OK so it's been a while - but there's been a lot happening.
In addition to Aubrey's work as a session and corporate singer he has taken on a new management & PR company. Castaldi inc. has been responsible for some the music industry's biggest names, but we're not going to name drop here. The album is back on track and we advise you to keep coming back to learn about the updates. Also don't forget to sign up for the news-letter as it's the only way you will be informed of up and coming gigs as we no longer post them on the site.

September 16th 2007 -
All change!
After a number of setbacks (mainly thanks to the inland revenue (you bastards), the writing of the album is all but finished.
However, there will now be a period of recording and mixing and re-organisation of the website. So things will be quiet for a while. Watch this space for more news.

October 11th 2006
New album well underway – But you choose the track list!!!
Aubrey Parsons is currently working on a new album of mainly original tracks with a few ‘cover’ versions of songs by The Stereophonics, Midge Ure, The Alarm, & Peter Gabriel.
”I’ve decided it’s time to let the world know what I’m thinking during the middle of my life.” says Aubrey.
”Every track on the album speaks from my heart in one way or another. The original tracks speak of certain parts of my life, and the cover tracks remind me of some of my milestones, like my first ever fumbled kiss at a school disco or the first time I saw a band that sent shivers up my spine.”

The finished album will contain 14 tracks, but we need your help in choosing the tracks. Please visit the website and email us telling us which songs you would like to see on the album. Every person who emails will receive a free copy of the album when it is released later this year. Please make sure you send your choice of favorite songs and your details.

The cover songs on the album have been re-worked to give a ‘big band’ flavor to the music introducing a new musical angle to some classic tunes. Aubrey has also managed to enlist help from each of the bands who songs he has covered. The album is being produced by Gary ‘Gee Man’ Bromham who has, amongst others, collaborated, co-written and produced with George Michael and Sheryl Crow. The arrangements have been put together with Colin Edwards and Midge Ure.

October 9th 2006 - Big in Japan!
So it seems that not only am I big (according to my jean size) all over, but I'm now MASSIVE in Japan. Although it's not necessarily for the right reasons... I recently noticed a huge increase in the number of hits to this site and the sister site: www.aubreyparsons.com. On investigation, I found nearly 10,000 hits per day were coming from a Japanese website and forum. After digging a little further I discovered that this site is a GAY Japanese website. For some reason they have latched onto me as a Gay icon and I've received over 10,000 downloads of my version of Bui Doi. If only the little buggers were paying a pink Yen for every download. I have to say the thought of all those guys 'turning Japanese' doesn't exactly do it for me. Still, my wife always said that she thought I was gay - she should know I guess.

October 3rd 2006 - The Songs

The album, if you can call it that, is very much in its writing stage at the moment. However I have decided to post up the work in progress as and when I write the songs.
I would love to hear your feedback - let me know what you do, and most probably don't, like.
As well as posting the songs, I will post the lyrics, guitar tab and the reasons behind the songs.
If you would like MyDash to perform in your living room - get in touch.

October 2nd 2006 - Web Launch
Well here it is, the first, and hopefully not the last, website dedicated to the MyDash project. Hope you like it.
